St John’s Opening Celebration and Anniversary
Come and join us in celebration of the new childcare services extension at St John’s Church and our 20th year serving the local community of Langdon Hills. We will be holding the celebration on Saturday 11th June from 2.00pm to 5.00pm.
Sunday School Party
The Sunday School Christmas Party for children aged between 3 and 11 will take place on Sunday 12th December during the 11 am service at St. John’s. We will be having dancing, games, party food and lots of fun! If your child/grandchild would like to come along, please give their details to Donna, Paula, Sally-Ann or Jane. Additionally, please ensure details of any food allergies/intolerances are made known at this time. Look forward to seeing you on 12th!!
Messy Church

Children’s Family New Year party
Sunday, 31st January at St John’s, Forest Glade.
Time: 3 – 5.15 pm
Tickets are £3 per child which includes a children’s buffet, entertainment, and a small gift at the close.
Adults are £1, which includes refreshments.
Children are to be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Tickets are available from Gaynor carter at St John’s. Please book early to ensure availability of tickets.

St John’s Children’s Music Group
This group is for any children under 16 years who enjoy singing or playing a musical instrument.
Once a month we will be leading 1 or 2 songs during the service.
The first dates for practice will be: Sunday 26th April and Sunday 3rd May. The children will need to arrive at 10.40 am and we will meet in the small room at the front of the church where Stars Sunday School group meets.
We will then be singing and playing during the service on Sunday 10th May (All age and parade service).
Please see Jane Curno or Jill Hurley if your children are interested. Any CRB checked adults who would like to help are very welcome.

Nativity Play
St. John’s Pre-school Nativity Play
On Friday 12th December at 10. 15 am, the Pre-school children will be performing their Nativity Play at St. John’s and we would like to invite members of the congregation of St. John’s & St. Mary’s to attend this very special event! If you would like to come along, please speak with Colin or Gaynor to obtain your tickets.
Family barbeque
Sunday 8th June. In summary:
- BBQ, bouncy castle, disco, face painting
- 3pm-5.30pm
- Adults £3, Children £1.50 – must be purchased in advance

ALF Club / Yippee! Club 2008
Our ALF (‘About Life and Faith’, I think – Dave) Club for 7-11+ will run on Tuesdays for 3 weeks in a row each half term – 5 Feb; (3 week gap), then 4, 11 and 18 March. Any questions to Colin or Gaynor.
Meanwhile our Yippee! Club dates are:
28th February, 27th March, 24th April, 22nd May and 26th June.
Yippee! Club is from 4.30-6 pm.
