There are over 30 wards open Christmas Eve: 30-40 people needed to come carolling. We will start prompt at 7pm and guarantee you will be in the car going home by 9pm.
A real `feel good’ evening which will make you appreciate all you have whilst lifting those less fortunate.
The universal appreciation of nurses & patients.

PLEASE NOTE – THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO ALL PEOPLE AGED 8 YEARS (IF ACCOMPANIED) AND OVER: SUMMARY:
Meet in the multi-faith prayer room at Basildon Hospital at 7pm sharp. A cappella singing or if you have an mobile, acoustic instrument (flute, recorder etc) – please bring it along.

This year’s Christingle services for the Children’s Society will be on Christmas Eve (Friday 24th December) at St Mary’s at 2.00pm, 4.00pm and 6.00pm.

Advent Sunday is a good day for children to start to take their collecting candles from either church to put whatever pennies, fivepences or pounds they can cadge from their parents into their candles to bring forward for their collections at the service. This all helps the wonderful work of the Children’s Society which is the foremost charity helping endangered and needy children.

Members of St Mary’s and St John’s will be visiting Evelyn May residential home for the elderly on
Wednesday 15th December, at 3-30 pm for a carol service.

EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO COME AND HELP. PLEASE DO COME ALONG; THE RESIDENTS ARE SO APPRECIATIVE.

Offers of help needed on Christmas Eve 1.30-3.30 pm at Trinity Methodist Church Hall for peeling vegetables, setting tables etc.  On Christmas Day, drivers needed to pick up folk from home and transport home afterwards; washing up & clearing up.  Again, please phone 541158 leaving your offer of help & when available, name and telephone no.

Please come and join the Carol singing outside Laindon Station.

Date: Monday 22nd December
Time: 5.30 to 7 pm.

We will be singing with our brothers and sisters from the Methodist Church and St. Nicholas, Laindon. Refreshments afterwards. If you want to know more speak to Terry.

Churches Together in Basildon (CTB)

We have arranged our usual Carol Singing in the town for Sunday 14th December from 1 pm to 3 pm. The CTB Brass players will be joining with the Salvation Army Band and we need as many people to come and join in the singing as possible. There will be mince pies handed out and leaflets with information about the churches activities over the Christmas season.

Also, there will be carol singing at the hospital on Christmas Eve from 7 pm to 9 pm. Meet  in the Sanctuary located between Reception and the Restaurant.
