St John’s Out-of-school Club
St John’s Church operates an Out-of-school Club, before school and after school, for children between the ages of 2 and 16. The club is registered with Ofsted.
Breakfast Club
Times – 7.30-8.45 am
Cost per session –
7.30 or 8.00 start £3.50
Children are offered a range of cereals, fruit, yoghurts, toast with various spreads, and orange, water or milk to drink. Breakfast will only be served until 8.15. Children are then taken to Great Barry or Lincewood School. Children in St John’s Pre-school will remain under supervision until the pre-school session stars at 9.15.
Each morning there is a range of activities, including physical games, ICT, art, music & dance, literacy, and board games.
After-school Club
Times – 3.15-6.00 pm
Cost per session –
3.15-4.00 pm £4.00
3.15-5.00 pm £7.00
3.15-6.00 pm £8.90
Children will be picked up from Great Berry, Lincewood or Merrylands School, and will be taken to St John’s.
On arrival they will be offered a small snack (eg drink and fruit/corn snacks). They will then be offered a variety of activities, which include a reading or homework time.
All children who stay after 5 pm will be given a meal, for which a menu is provided.
There will be 8 members of staff per session, of whom at least one is a first-aider. All staff are CRB checked, and have the required qualifications.
Fees and conditions
A £2 registration fee is charged on joining the Out-of-school Club.
Sessions must be booked before the beginning of each half term. Fees will be invoiced within a week of the beginning of each half term, and must be paid in full within two weeks, unless alternative arrangements are agreed in advance with the Pre-school Manager. Fees are non refundable.
The Out-of-school Club may be used on an occasional basis, but your child must be registered, and capacity limitations mean that a place cannot be guaranteed.
