St Mary’s and St John’s Christmas Party

130 people had great fun at the Church Christmas party on 20th December 2014.  All the volunteers did an amazing job decorating the hall and providing us with lovely food that seems to go on and on and on; tiny fish and chips, burgers, pastries, cakes, sandwiches, snacks and more.  The children all enjoyed meeting Santa, who had a very nattily dressed elf to help him.  Each child received a present and the chapel was suitably decked out as a cosy grotto.  The DJs kept the music flowing and organised games that kept everyone entertained, especially Mark Petit who seemed to have rigged the pass the parcel so it landed on him THREE times!  The mulled wine was delicious and the hall smelled all Christmassy because of it.  Thanks to all those who did such a good job organising the event and for the hard work that went into the preparations, the actual evening and all the cleaning up afterwards!  Everyone had a fabulous time!

Christmas blessings!
